The article “Intensification of processes of refining of Ashalchinsky natural bitumen using pulsed-wave reactor “YARUS” is published.
Yield of light fractions is increased to 70% as a result of refining of Ashalchinsky natural bitumen in the “YARUS” reactor without preliminary preparation of raw materials. Density and viscosity of synthetic oil are reduced; transportation of oil through a pipeline is alleviated. The light fractions can be used as a feedstock for hydrogenation oil refining processes to produce motor fuels.
The combination of different methods of treatment (hydrodynamic, thermal, electromagnetic, and acoustic) in the “YARUS” reactor allows using the reactor in processes of recovery and refining of heavy oil and natural bitumen to produce semi-synthetic and synthetic oils.
